Event Details

September 11, 2010 is the 2nd annual 9/11 National Day of Service & Remembrance. Greater DC Cares will support this effort by engaging more than 8,000 volunteers in the region, cleaning parks, serving meals to the hungry, restoring our national monuments, spend time with seniors, and much more! Individuals and organizations who answer the call to action will rekindle the spirit of service felt by so many around 9/11/01.

Ron Brown Middle school is committed to maximizing the academic and intellectual development of all students.  Students and teachers work together to create an interactive, engaging and productive learning environment.
 
Projects Include:
Volunteers will engage in a variety of painting activities.  They will be painting blacktop games including four-square, hopscotch and basketball courts as well as painting concrete blocks with bright colors and designs to be placed around trees and bushes in the front of the school.  Exit and entry doorway painting will also be repainted
